Steve Boyd

In over 30 years of consulting, Steve has enjoyed working with hundreds of public and private sector organizations around the globe. He jumps on every opportunity to work with leaders who are managing and leading change, transition, and growth. He is especially gifted at engaging a group to face their current challenges so they can move forward in a common, balanced, and compelling direction.

A proud Seattle native, Steve was the founder and President of the Washington Leadership Institute and the Governors’ School for Citizen Leadership (1985-94). He was a Fellow at Harvard’s Center for International Affairs (1982-84) studying public participation in American foreign policy, leadership development theory and social change. Steve holds a masters in educational psychology from the University of Washington and certification on Organization Systems Renewal. He enjoys playing and listening to music, traveling, hiking, cooking, reading, and hanging out with family and friends.

Sheryl Harmer
Sheryl brings over thirty years of experience in public service, coaching and mentoring organization leaders, educators, families, and children with a focus on the development of social and emotional competencies. She has consulted with numerous non-profit, governmental, and school-based systems in the development of strong team processes, organization effectiveness, and culture change.

Her 20+ year career as a professional educator has been recognized through numerous awards including the 1998 National Distinguished Principal of the Year for Washington State. Sheryl received her BA degree from Idaho State University, Master’s in Education from the University of Southern California, principal certification from Pacific Lutheran University, and an Ed.D. and Superintendent certification in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington. She enjoys music, writing, visual arts, theater, gardening, and interior decorating.

Julie Stoltman

Julie Stoltman has more than a decade of experience working at the intersections of policy, politics and performance. Passionate about removing barriers for people to reach their true potential, Julie excels collaborating with organizations to design and build change management initiatives. Her work at MacDonald Boyd focuses on program improvement, strategic planning, career coaching and building organizational equity and inclusion.

Most recently she served as Deputy Director at Northwest Center, a social enterprise focused on serving people with disabilities, where she developed and scaled one of the largest disability employment programs in the US. As a public-sector leader, Julie directed policy and strategy for the Tacoma City Council and supported the creation of the first ever Office for Equity & Human Rights.  Before moving to Seattle, Julie was a policy advisor for senior political leaders and national and local government departments in the United Kingdom.  This included roles as Parliamentary Advisor for the longest-serving female Member of Parliament and Deputy Leader of the UK Labour Party and Senior Advisor for women’s economic advancement at the Government Equalities Office. Julie holds a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics in Gender, Development and Globalisation and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University of Rochester.

Julie enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, traveling, Pilates, reading and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Angela Larsen
Angela is committed to helping people and organizations flourish through learning, coaching, and leadership development. With over 10 years experience designing learning solutions for executives, managers, and the community, she is skilled at building learning programs aligned with business needs and strategic goals. Angela’s experience includes working at Goodwill Industries International implementing management training and executive leadership development programs.  Most recently, Angela designed and managed leadership and sales training programs at Moss Adams.  Angela has also provided leadership coaching and strategic planning consultations through 501 Commons. Her passions are empowering others to reach their organizational and human potential.

Angela earned her Bachelor’s in Human Resource Development, Master’s in Business Management, plus a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Florida. She also enjoys spending time with family, traveling, taking classes, reading, singing, and reconnecting with the great outdoors. Her motto: Have the courage to do the work you love and love the work you do.
